- and y comprises the work behind it, the attending to the guests, the Award handing over-taking in, the trainings and the relationships being trained into-
Context: E-mailed by Corina into signing up for PR Award, said to be the most prestigious Ro prizes in the domain. Hurrily, we draft up, translate, rewrite and translate again a politically correct project on the Ro Movie Theater.50 years of Good Movies.
2 weeks before, Christine ingratiates with the organizers(organizer?) and tallies our way into the team.
We boast in organizing IPRA President Peter Debreceny's first meeting with Ro FJSC students, while in a dingy room, poor sound and uninterested audience. Yet, celebrate the outcome over beer and sangria in Deko.
I further guide Peter through Bucharest (a parade for Danut helping out)- Green Hours, the Atheneum, the Art Museum, the f-ing spear, Orange Concept Store and the Old Theater glooming in glassy Novotel. Coffee and papanasi in Capsa.
Caru cu bere, the History Museum and the Caisse d'Epargne. The old Center of Bucharest and flamboyant concept of Market 8. Dambovita and back on literary Victoriei.
Every building- a campaign in itself. Latterly strolling through Cismigiu and theories.
We later meet and start putting up press kits somewhere on Uranus Street for the event as such. and as early Monday morning we settle in the Ro Opera to receive the guests, the press and the credit for it.
There follow trainings and debates - especially enjoyed the Management panel admitting to needing and urging PR and glimpses of the Comunication and Culture discussion in the afternoon. HRP arguing against adevertising in the "etroit-ness" of a book, Tritonic arguing back, Geo Moisescu moderating. And we curiously spotting some future sponsors for some future projects.
The second day grasps CSR and gives us a preview of Evaluation in PR by mercury spilling (Lu Williams with L.C. Williams and Associates made his case!). Multivitamin in my glass, I'm off to the Protocol Room and then to this room in the back designed to artists' use (blushing with flattery). Enjoying the lit glass and laughters with the girls. Together we dress and welcome some more guests in the foyer. We position in the ball room. And are the first to climb on stage. I trip, hardly noticeable. Bortun shakes and Thomas kisses three times. Book and diploma receiving. Group hug on the corridor and setting higher, highest standards. Some more picture taking and back to the ball room for further awarding. Eva din Plescoi, the Practice and Carpatcement and, yet again, Mungiu. Thomas trotting the stage, UK Tony Meehan MC-ing,Vlad and Luisa awarding, light-shed upon.
Final thank yous (mine obviously go to the "co-leagues", loving Dana Dimitriu and a highlight to inspirational Chirilov!) and cocktail in the foyer on the left. Brie with grapes and wine. Both red and white. Some more running in the back corridors of the Ro Opera, drinks and farewell with Peter.
Wednesday we move to Citibank in Victoriei, as to attend Louis Williams' training on Evaluation. Brief introduction by all and sundry as ice-breakers, expectations and diaporamas. Techniques, soft soundings, car-surveys, samplings and content analysis. Some hyper informative 7 h.
By and large, an uncanny, somewhat surprising location playing host to actual and factual themes, credited to all the speakers-so accurate and overt. Plus a rich exchange with both the media and the participants. To all intents and purposes, an all consuming and all embracing semaine des RPs.

hey...I remember being there! :)
Well, I put a more poethical description of the event on my blog....I guess I wasn't as interested as you in the seminars, but I'm sure we'll win a prize soon enough
It all sound a tad more glamorous and exciting raconté par toi. And an even more poethical description coming from Pisi... Maybe I'm just too realistic. Just a small question. What's Chirilov doing there? :P
Inspirational factor. In the project we helped create- 4..3..2..
